our instructors
Tom Rhines is a professional pilot with over 5500 hours of flight instruction given in light aircraft and over 2000 hours of tailwheel instruction given. Tom is an FAA-DPE and can administer your Commercial or Private ASES tests! Of course , Light-Sport ASES checks are also available.
Gayle Rhines has given over 2500 hours of light aircraft flight instruction, is a SeaRey factory instructor and is a professional pilot with a major airline.
Both Tom and Gayle are SeaRey Flight Instructor Association certified instructors. Tom is also an A&P/IA and has completed the RFSC Rotax service and maintenance courses. Together they have given over 2200 hours of SeaRey flight instruction.
our fleet/pricing
Fly our 2020 Progressive Aerodyne S-LSA SeaRey aircraft with a Rotax 914 turbocharged engine, electric flaps and carbon fiber hull. You will be amazed at the performance!
We train to proficiency for the flight test. Most of our student s are ready for the practical test with 6-7 hours of flight training.
Hourly training is $350/hour for the SeaRey and instructor. ($250/hour aircraft/$100 hour CFI). DPE fee, if needed, is $600.
Demo flights for interested pilots are $300.

Provide first class training using the SFIA course syllabus to achieve your light-sport, private or commercial single-engine seaplane rating.
We also offer training in your SeaRey, ferry flight services and Demo Flights if you want to find out what real fun flying is all about!

We use Belton Lake from our Temple, Texas location but almost anywhere is possible!
